Starcraft 2

So I was having a discussion with a friend of mine the other day, and we both basically came to a realization, that we weren't really that into Starcraft 2.  Campaign of course was fantastic, but beyond that...its sort of meh.  Multiplayer feels like the entire goal is to become more robotic and rigid than your opponent.  Memorizing build orders and following them to the letter until you can attempt to counter your opponent just feels very repetitive.  Executing a build order flawlessly and proceeding to roll people doesn't really feel skillful...its just boring.

Yeah you can argue that micro wins the day over macro, but honestly, a poorly executed build order/macro phase will sink you way before micro.  I mean really, how much micro does an MMM ball really need?  It felt like way too much work for me, memorizing build orders and trying to instantly know what build will counter what you just scouted, etc.  Maybe some people like that type of thing, I dunno.  Not my cup of tea anyway, but I'll still probably buy the next game, if only for campaign.  What are your thoughts on the matter?
